Caresse+ Personal Emergency Response System

At the heart of Home For Life Solutions products is the Caresse+ base unit, a personal emergency response system (PERS) – a system that will either audibly or silently monitor the daily actions and environment of individuals.  It can be used to assist older adults or anyone with a need for additional safety and security, by bridging them to a full range of integrated products without invading their privacy.

Amie Pendant

This small personal pendant can be worn around the neck, clipped to clothing, or around the wrist.  It is water-resistant so it can be worn in the shower. Also available in larger size.

CookStop

According to the National Fire Protection Association, cooking fires are the #1 cause of home fire injuries. Unattended cooking equipment is the leading contributing factor to kitchen fires, with the elderly and the handicapped being especially vulnerable.  Our solution is CookStop. It attaches to an electric stove or cook top and includes a built-in motion detector that monitors the user’s movements.  If the user doesn’t return within a specific time frame, the stove shuts off automatically, preventing fires before they begin. CookStop is a proactive approach to preventing kitchen fires, instead of sounding an alarm after one has already started. CookStop can be easily programmed to meet the needs of each user, and can be used as a standalone product, or with the Caresse+ base unit.

Fall Detector

About the size of a small cellular phone, the fall detector is worn around the waist or attached to a belt. If the person wearing the sensor were to fall, it automatically alerts the Caresse+ base unit and an emergency call is placed.

Pull Cords

Pull cords can be installed throughout the home. With a slight tug, the cord triggers an alert to the Caresse+ base unit and an emergency call is triggered.

Flood Detector

A small sensor provides early, audible warning of potential flood situations, and can be placed on the floor, under a sink, near the bath or next to a toilet. This can help prevent falls or water damage to your home.

Pressure Mat

Placed discreetly under a rug or mat, this sensor alerts help when the user wanders beyond a safe area and does not return within a designated time.

Motion Detector

A wireless device that can be used for detecting activity or inactivity. The sensor may also be used with other sensors for monitoring when a person leaves and does not return; or for detecting the presence of an intruder.

Bed/Chair Occupancy Sensor

A discreet wireless sensor that triggers an alarm if a person gets out of bed or a chair and does not return within a predetermined amount of time. It can be programmed for daytime or nighttime activity.

Enuresis Sensor

A thin, waterproof and durable sensor mat placed between the mattress and the sheet, that provides discreet and efficient detection of moisture, allowing effective action to be taken.  The silent alarm can alert a personal recepient or caregiver eliminating the need for physical checks and promoting dignity and independence for those with incontinence.

Emfit Movement Sensor

This state-of-the-art sensor monitors the user's vital signs, including heart rate and breathing patterns, to detect micro-tremors and a range of epileptic seizures. There are no size or weight limitations.

Extreme Temperature Sensor

This wireless unit provides advanced alerts of extreme household temperatures (high, low and rapid rise). This helps minimize the risks associated with changes in temperature, including the build up of heat in a kitchen and the risk of sustained periods of cold weather. This sensor also can be used in facility equipment rooms to prevent equipment from over-heating.

Smoke Detector

A wireless photoelectric smoke alarm that generates both an audible alarm and an emergency call 24/7 for immediate action.

CO Detector

This sensor warns of dangerous CO levels which otherwise might go undetected, providing a high level of accuracy and reliability. The wireless connection to the Caresse+ alerts responders to make sure residents are safe and the problem is addressed.

Wireless Keypad

A wireless keypad allows for intruder alerts, panic alarms as well as service visits.  All functions work in conjunction with the Caresse+ base unit. (Indoor application)
